Speed, control and looseness meet in equilibrium in a low volume, non-retro hull. A full outline is countered with a thin foil and flat deck for ultra-responsive situations. JM-SVT SNUB-MARINE
The JM-SVT is a utility shortboard evolved from the good old Simon Anderson (not to be mistaken with increasingly retro "pro widgets" flooding in from the overseas). Low rocker and increased tail flex add new dimensions of performance to your shortboard game. Easy single concave between feet, low tail, curvy outline and a touch of vee off the back makes three-finning less of a drag. Cut-away squash tail show here. Koi
The Koi was our first grovel, short-board alternative developed in the late 90's, now a popular and quintessential type of shape for California quivers. It has evolved over the years into a "most of the time" board, skating through slop and remaining stable and reliable in good, overhead waves. If you can't get off the thrusters, this is a good one. Single concave with some vee in the tail- no frills- it just works. Order 4" shorter that your normal shorty, of course, it come as a quad too. Round, squash, swallow, a-sym tails available.
For double-overhead plus conditions. Adequate front-end rocker leads into a soft single concave through the middle and vee off the tail. Added volume is carried throughout for easy entry. The tail is pulled to a point with a slight break in the rail line. All of these elements bring a few words to mind: drive, maneuverability, and stable tube-riding. A confidence-builder when the conditions get interesting. Available from 6'10" on up to rhino chasers with one, three or four fins.
This is called the fuselage because it glides effortlessly. It comes as a single fin or with side bites with low rocker, and spiral-concave mojo. Thin, elliptical rails and a curvy outline helps you make "style" out of miscalculation. Order it up to 8'0 as a trimmer, or under 6'0" as a flying saucer. All good up to double-overhead.
Module- universal 1.3.4 fin
One of the simplest, most universal shapes with all kind of opportunities. The module is an imaginative can-do-- it will take you a while to explore the possibilities and what all that might be. One day you might be feelin quad, another day, single...and so on-- with this one you don't give a damn. Act on it.
